We understand that plans can change, and we’re here to support you. Depending on when you make your request, you may be able to cancel your exam entry. Please read the guidance below to find out what steps to take and what support is available.
Before the standard deadline
You can cancel your exam entry at any time before the standard entry deadline for your exam session.
To do this:
Log in to your MyACCA account (or Menu if using a mobile device)
Under the Helpful links section, click the Book an exam option
The Exam Planner will open
Click View exam entry to see your current booking
Locate the exam you wish to cancel and select details
Choose the cancel option within the exam entry (please note if you want to change the format or version of this exam you must cancel and rebook)
When ready, select Cancel booking
And on the next screen select Confirm cancellation (confirmation details will appear onscreen and your exam fee will be credited to your MyACCA account)
You’ll receive a confirmation email within 48 hours. Please check your inbox and spam folder. Any fees paid will be credited to your MyACCA account and can be used for future exam bookings. If you choose to rebook your exam, the fee will reflect the current exam rate at the time of booking. As exam fees may increase each year, this could mean paying a higher amount than your original booking.
For key dates, visit the important dates page.
After the standard deadline
Once the standard entry deadline has passed, you'll be unable to cancel your exam. At this time, we will have made practical arrangements on your behalf, such as booking the venue and allocating seating. We are also unable to move an entry from one session to another because we pay suppliers to set up and administer exams in advance.
We know unexpected problems can occur, and we’re sorry for any difficulty this causes, but we cannot refund exam entry fees once the deadline has passed.
We advise you to attend your exam, and if you wish for us to consider things that may affect your performance, please submit a mitigating circumstances request.
