Apprenticeships involve three key stakeholders: the apprentice, the employer, and the learning provider.
Each plays a specific role at different stages of the apprenticeship.
Employer
The employer's role is to:
Provide at least 30 hours per week of relevant work experience.
Cover apprentice’s on-programme exam fees, as well as any potential resits of the end point assessment (EPA).
Cover registration and subscription fees.
Support development of professional skills, behaviours and workplace training.
Confirm apprentice is ready for the EPA by signing the Gateway Access Form
Learning Provider
The learning provider's role is to:
Deliver tuition for exams.
Monitor development.
Book and pay for the EPA exam.
Apprentice
The apprentice's role is to:
Register with ACCA.
Study for and sit on-programme exams.
Engage with learning provider and employer, ensuring they’re on track to complete the apprenticeship.
Complete EPA components.
Once the apprenticeship is complete, ACCA shares the results with the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), who issues the official apprenticeship certificate.
